Southern Model Organisms (SMOC) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Industry-University-Research Strategic Cooperation with the Hanyang Institute for Personalized Therapeutics of Hanyang University (HY-IPT). Leveraging their respective strengths in model organism R&D and research infrastructure, the two parties will advance in-depth cooperation in joint R&D, talent exchanges, and national-level research project collaboration. Together, they aim to build an industry-university-research collaborative system, nurture outstanding talent, and drive innovation and development in life science research.
SMOC independently developed fully humanized antibody mice to support the development of therapeutic antibody drugs.
After the base is put into operation, SMOC’s capability to provide genetically modified rat/mouse models and technical services including gene function research and drug development will be greatly enhanced.
